By Jasmine Sufi, Edited by Ellice Yang

All Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine therapies are performed by a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner. We complete a full intake and diagnosis according to Traditional Chinese Medicine principles, providing individualized treatment plans to help optimize your overall health and wellness.

Getting the news of low ovarian reserve feels like you’ve been given an expiration date on your fertility, you feel the pressure of time is impossible to beat. What you don’t know is that you can work to improve your chances of conceiving by improving mitochondrial health of your eggs. Here is how:

Acupuncture: An ancient practice that uses hair fine needles to stimulate the body’s peripheral nervous system to produce health and wellness.  For fertility, acupuncture improves blood flow into the uterus, reduces the effects stress has on the body and supports healthy follicle (egg) development.

Chinese Herbal Medicine: The use of herbal teas to help restore imbalance. Chinese medicine is based on the balance of Yin and Yang, qi and blood. When the body falls into disfunction and you are troubled with an ailment it is our job to determine what the root cause of the imbalance is. Chinese Herbal Medicine is used to help put back the nutrients that are missing, restore circulation and reduce problematic symptoms.

Low Light Laser Therapy (LLLT or Photobiomodulation): Red light and infarred light is placed over the abdomen and lower back.  The light helps to re-energize mitochondrial cells in the area by improving blood flow into the uterus, enhancing blood flow into the ovaries, eggs and lining and reducing pelvic inflammation.  Ovarian eggs have over 200 mitochondria and as we age these energy powerhouses become less efficient. Introducing LLLT is one of multiple ways to help restore cellular health.

As Chinese Medicine Practitioners we join you on this journey helping to improve your overall health and wellness both physically and mentally, guide you through the ups and downs of infertility and equip you with the knowledge you need to make the right decisions for your family.  We love what we do and look forward to helping and providing the right treatments for you.
