Ellice and I started this little clinic with a vision of a wellness clinic with a lot of heart, providing unsurpassed compassionate care with a team that love what they do and do their best in empowering people with their health.
We started with just the basics and some ambition and 16 years later we’ve grown to having a multidisciplinary practice with amazing practitioners with a focused interest in fertility, pregnancy and postpartum care. We all work towards optimizing every person’s health and well-being!
I love what I do and am blessed to be able to grow and learn with the group of clients that have come my way over the years. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to get to know my clients and grow with them as we carve out their health goals and work towards achieving all of them.
I began my educational career at the University of Toronto, completing a H.BSc in neuroscience and Biology. I then continued my journey to complete a 4 year program in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture at the Michener Institute of Applied Health Sciences. My experience also includes; internships at Mount Sinai and St. John’s Rehabilitation Hospital and 8 years of teaching clinical acupuncture at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. My continual pursuit of knowledge has helped to keep me embedded in the foundations of Chinese Medicine while constantly growing and molding to the new research that arise. This unique skillset gives me the ability to adapt to the needs of my clients as science gains new grounds in the field of TCM.
Ellice is a Registered Practitioner with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncturists of Ontario and a graduate from the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in biology.
Acutoronto has really evolved into what Jasmine and I envisioned back in 2004 – an integrative health centre focusing on reproductive health to address fertility issues, pregnancy and labour support.
I am classically trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine but bridge that knowledge with modern science and evidence-based research. Over the years I have had the privilege of being a part of my patient’s journey to conceive and to support them during their pregnancy and labour. After having fertility struggles and children of our own we can appreciate the resilience and share in the joy of our patients. One of the most common feedbacks I receive from patients is their pleasant surprise at how relaxed they are during the treatments and their sense of empowerment from the resources we are able to provide. I learn so much from my patient’s, and by understanding their fears, frustrations and hopes we can work together towards achieving their ultimate goals. We are passionate about Acutoronto and what we do and feel so blessed to work with such amazing people!

She has a holistic approach to care, using her knowledge and experience as a mental health nurse together with her skills as a psychotherapist.

My passion for wanting to be in the medical community started at a young age – I was quite sick as a child and would frequent the hospitals and doctors’ offices a lot and from that experience of having others take care of me it made me want to do the same and give back to the community in any way I can.
I took the Medical Office Administration course at George Brown College and got my diploma – one of the best days of my life 🙂
After a year of searching for the right fit I luckily came across Acutoronto – a cozy and welcoming clinic with compassionate practitioners that cared about the people they took care of and this suited me very well as I am compassionate and caring to anyone that walks into our door.
I have been happily here now at Acutoronto for 10+ years – I am looking forward to many more years to come and to also be a part of your journey here with us.
Jennifer is a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) whose personal journey to healing sparked a curiosity for the mind-body connection. She graduated from Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy and Teaching Clinic, with an expertise in massage techniques including: Swedish, gentle myofasical release, dynamic movement and lymphatic drainage. By gently reminding patients to reconnect their mind and body through awareness of breath and posture, Jennifer focuses on the value of self-care and relaxation in her practice.
Her emphatic and holistic approach to massage means she incorporates a patient’s lifestyle, breathing, and movement patterns to help guide patients to co-create their treatment plans. She strongly believes in empowering patients and reminding them they are the experts of their own bodies. Her holistic approach to health includes collaboration with other health practitioners such as acupuncturists, physiotherapists, chiropractors, naturopaths, osteopaths, holistic nutritionists, psychotherapists, and personal trainers.
Jennifer’s clinical experience includes: prenatal and high-risk pregnancy outreach clinic at Sunnybrook Hospital, multiple sclerosis outreach clinic, and geriatric clinic.
Always on a mission to encompass wellness in her lifestyle, Jennifer also enjoys cooking, baking, and staying active.
Sulma is a Registered Massage Therapist with special interests in prenatal, postnatal, fertility, and women’s health massage. She was an honours graduate from Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy (CCMH) Toronto.
From an early age, this empathetic therapist knew she wanted to be a healer. On top of her formal massage training, she is also a certified Perinatal Massage Therapist to work with Pregnant (including high-risk pregnancy conditions), and Postpartum clients (such as for scar tissue healing post-cesarean birth, fascial adhesion surrounding the womb and pelvis, etc). A mother herself, she understands the physical and emotional challenges women experience throughout pregnancy and motherhood.
She is also proficient in myofascial release, deep tissue, breasts, lymphatic drainage, Swedish (relaxation), infant, geriatric massage, and many else.
Sulma knows each client has unique preferences and problems, thus each case requires a fresh mind and approach. She believes that having a positive energy and mindset are crucial to nurture the body’s inherent ability to heal. Effective massage doesn’t have to be painful, and she likes to encourage the clients to listen to what the body can endure at any given time, especially with deep-tissue massage.
In the past, Sulma’s love for pilates led her to become a fully certified STOTT Pilates instructor. This experience combined with massage therapy allows her to have a distinct understanding of core stability, dynamic movement, and musculoskeletal health and wellness.
