The COVID-19 crisis has impacted each and every one of us, all over the World. Our lives have been put on hold as the World has been in isolation to mitigate the spread of this new virus. It’s an unprecedented time for us all, frightening and nothing like we have ever experienced before. For many, anxiety arises from the fear of infection and keeping themselves and their loved ones safe, but also the financial insecurity which the World is experiencing.
“In every crisis lies the seed of opportunity”
Crisis, written in Chinese consists of 2 character. One represents “danger” and the other represents “opportunity”. During this time we can consider what these “opportunities” might be for each of us. An opportunity for reflection and gratitude; an opportunity to be in the present without the restrictions of deadline and schedules; an opportunity to support and help one another. These are just some examples how we can change our mindset to focus on the things we do have control over.
Being in an industry that primarily focuses on helping couples, men and women conceive, we find it difficult that we are unable to support our patients from our usual “hands-on” approach. Fertility clinics along with many other allied health services have closed their doors to help flatten the curve. This means for many, their fertility treatments and their dreams of expanding their family are on hold. For how long? We do not know. Not knowing when your fertility treatments and cycle monitoring will resume, is very stressful especially for women who have been told time is of the essence. But wait! If time is what we have, there is still so much we can do to support you and you can also do for yourselves.
We at Acutoronto believe that preparation is the key to your success in fertility.
