Preparing for IVF the Acutoronto Way.

Acupuncture, Fertility, Infertility

By: Jasmine Sufi R.TCMP, Edited by: Edna Canning-Park

All Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine therapies are performed by a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner. We complete a full intake and diagnosis according to Traditional Chinese Medicine principles, providing individualized treatment plans to help optimize your overall health and wellness.

The fertility journey can be a long road filled with many ups and downs, hopes, disappointments, physical and emotional strains; but in many cases, that seemingly endless toil of emotions results in the wonder of a pregnancy. With all the incredible advancements in modern day science, we now have tools to uncover egg quality, analyse sperm quality, and methods such as IVF to increase the chances of conceiving.

Acutoronto’s approach to helping patients who are preparing or going through IVF, is to enhance their experience with one-on-one support and guidance while achieving optimal health before and during fertility treatments. We are 100% invested in your journey and want to make your dream of a family become reality.

The work we do at Acutoronto as it relates to IVF is to support, educate, and help improve the overall IVF process by empathizing with our patients throughout all aspects of their journeys’. We understand that the fertility journey can be a very isolating process, which is why our Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners make every effort to support our patients both emotionally and physically every step of the way. Our singular focus is to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our patients.

Over the years we have supported thousands of couples and individuals prepare for IVF, enhance retrieval and transfer responses. Our methods are based on ancient Traditional Chinese Medicine theory intertwined with western cellular health theory.

Here’s is what to expect when you seek support with us:
Our 3-Step Philosophy to Prepare the Body for IVF

  1. Traditional Chinese Medicine: aids in balancing the body and mind, supporting blood flow into the uterus, and helping the body better manage stress. We use Traditional Chinese Medicine theories to determine imbalances within the body and combine the use of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine to restore imbalances. We view and diagnose according to each person’s unique constitution and provide an individualized treatment plan.
  2. Increase Antioxidant Supplements & Chinese Herbs: to support better cellular health, specifically the mitochondria (the powerhouse of our cells).
  3. Low Level Laser Therapy: the use of red light and infrared light to support better health of the cells, reducing oxidative stress to help decrease inflammation and re-energizing the mitochondria of the cells. We believe preparation is key to having the best response to IVF. Having a preventative mindset to balance the body and support the mind can help support a more successful IVF response.
