Low Level Laser Therapy and Pain

Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) has been shown to reduce inflammation, boost immune system, accelerate wound healing and stimulate tissue regeneration.

Low Level Laser Therapy uses red light and infrared light to help in the healing process.

Common Concerns that LLLT can be consider for include:

Knee Pain
Low Back and Neck Pain
Concussions
Sciatica
Rotator Cuff Injury

Carpel Tunnel
Tennis Elbow and Golfer’s Elbow
Tendinitis
Plantar Fasciitis

How does LLLT work?

Low levels of light are aimed at the target area, where the patient is experiencing pain or discomfort. Low level laser therapy are also known as “Cold Laser Therapy” and therefore do not burn or heat up the skin.  Instead, the light energy is absorbed by the mitochondria in your cells, stimulating ATP, which is the primary energy carrier in our bodies that is responsible for driving many processes in our system. As a result, this process may help to reduce symptoms of pain, promote faster healing time and reduce your immune response.

If you have specific questions about Low Light Laser Therapy please give us a call to find out more.

All LLLT, Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine therapies are performed by a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner. We complete a full intake and diagnosis according to Traditional Chinese Medicine, providing individualized treatment plans to help you feel your healthiest, inside and out.
