Massage Therapy
Provided by a Registered Massage Therapist, Massage Therapy is the manipulation of the soft tissues of the body including muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and joints. Massage therapy helps alleviate the soft tissue discomfort associated with everyday and occupational stresses, muscular over-use and many chronic pain conditions.
Mercier Abdominal Massage
Abdominal massage is the use of specific deep tissue manipulation in the pelvic, low back and sacral area to help reduce adhesions in the reproductive tract. Adhesions act like glue -- disrupting the function and flow of the uterus. The massage involves gentle stretching to loosen tightened areas of soft tissue and is continued until the tension is released. The goal is to decrease adhesions in and around the uterus, ligaments, muscles, joints and support structures of the pelvis, abdomen, hips and lower back. It is gentle and noninvasive and has a success rate of 71% (Medscape General Medicine 6(2), 2004).
The therapy can retrain pelvic organs to return to their normal position and increasing your chances of conceiving and improving your health at the same time.
Abdominal massage has proven to help the following issues:

- Endometriosis
- Poly cystic Ovarian Syndrome

Thai Massage

Together these actions optimize energy flow, promote deep muscle relaxation, increases flexibility, improves circulation and boosts the immune system. Thai Yoga Massage is performed on a mat on the floor; both client and practitioner are dressed in comfortable clothing allowing ease of movement and flexibility. No oils or creams are used. Please remember wear comfortable clothing that allows movement.

Clinical Nutrition
Nutrition and the therapeutic use of foods is a cornerstone of naturopathic medicine. Food intolerances, deficiencies, dietary imbalances or nutritional excesses have been associated with many medical conditions. With appropriate dietary modification and nutritional supplements health concerns can be treated with fewer complications and side effects.
Botanical Medicine
Medicinal plants have been, and will continue to be a valuable part of health care. These plants and plant substances are highly effective and safe in the right dosage and when used correctly with other herbs and treatments. Herbs can be prepared in many forms - teas, tinctures or capsules. Naturopathic doctors are extensively trained in both the art and science of botanical medicine and are currently the only health care providers in Canada to be licensed for the use of botanical medicine.

Prevention and Lifestyle Counselling
Mental attitudes and emotional states are important elements in healing and disease. Addressing all aspects of a person's life, identifying and addressing the impact that stress and life events have on a patient's health is an important aspect of naturopathic treatment. Naturopathic doctors are trained to counsel on diet, lifestyle, specific stressors, exercise and occupational or environmental hazards as an integral part of the naturopathic treatment program.
Hydrotherapy
Hydrotherapy is the use of water to revitalize, maintain, and restore health. Treatments can include saunas, steam baths, foot baths, sitz baths, and the application of cold and hot water compresses. Cold water is stimulating and causes superficial blood vessels to constrict, moving blood to internal organs. Hot water is relaxing and causes blood vessels to dilate, thus removing wastes from the body. Alternating hot and cold water improves elimination, decreases inflammation, and stimulates circulation and can be useful in treating conditions like arthritis, irritable bowel disease and lowered immune function.
Detox Program
A healthy detox can have a positive impact on your health. Detoxification involves removing toxic substances from your body by supporting liver, kidney and gastrointestinal tract function.
