Jasmine is a Registered Practitioner with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncturists of Ontario.
More about Jasmine
Ellice and I started this little clinic with a vision of a wellness clinic with a lot of heart, providing unsurpassed compassionate care with a team that love what they do and do their best in empowering people with their health.
We started with just the basics and some ambition and 10 years later we’ve grown to having a multidisciplinary practice with amazing practitioners, specializing in fertility, pregnancy and postpartum care, helping couples conceive and achieving their goal of a healthy happy family!
I love what I do and am blessed to be able to grow and learn with the group of clients that have come my way over the years. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to get to know my clients and grow with them as we carve out their health goals and work towards achieving all of them.
I began my educational career at the University of Toronto, completing a H.BSc in neuroscience and Biology. I then continued my journey to complete a 4 year program in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture at the Michener Institute of Applied Health Sciences. My experience also includes; internships at Mount Sinai and St. John’s Rehabilitation Hospital and 8 years of teaching clinical acupuncture at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. My continual pursuit of knowledge has helped to keep me embedded in the foundations of Chinese Medicine while constantly growing and molding to the new research that arise. This unique skillset gives me the ability to adapt to the needs of my clients as science gains new grounds in the field of TCM.

Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner
Ellice is a Registered Practitioner with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncturists of Ontario and a graduate from the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in biology.
More about Ellice
Acutoronto has really evolved into what Jasmine and I envisioned back in 2004 – an integrative health centre focusing on women’s health to address fertility issues, pregnancy and labour support.
I am classically trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine but bridge that knowledge with modern science and evidence-based research. Over the years I have had the privilege of being a part of my patient’s journey to conceive and to support them during their pregnancy and labour. After having fertility struggles and children of our own we can appreciate the resilience and share in the joy of our patients. One of the most common feedbacks I receive from patients is their pleasant surprise at how relaxed they are during the treatments and their sense of empowerment from the resources we are able to provide. I learn so much from my patient’s, and by understanding their fears, frustrations and hopes we can work together towards achieving their ultimate goals. We are passionate about Acutoronto and what we do and feel so blessed to work with such amazing people!

Medical Office Administrator
My passion for wanting to be in the medical community started at a young age – I was quite sick as a child and would frequent the hospitals and doctors’ offices a lot and from that experience of having others take care of me it made me want to do the same and give back to the community in any way I can.
More about Lori
I took the Medical Office Administration course at George Brown College and got my diploma – one of the best days of my life 🙂
After a year of searching for the right fit I luckily came across Acutoronto – a cozy and welcoming clinic with compassionate practitioners that cared about the people they took care of and this suited me very well as I am compassionate and caring to anyone that walks into our door.
I have been happily here now at Acutoronto for 3+ years – I am looking forward to many more years to come and to also be a part of your journey here with us.
Stefanie is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor in the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO).
More about Stefanie
As a Naturopathic Doctor, I love to incorporate traditional methods with the best available evidence to enhance each patient’s health and deliver the highest quality of care. I act as a bridge between the conventional medical team and alternative medicine – helping you navigate the system, while enhancing your care to achieve your best level of wellbeing possible. I am passionate about optimizing health and managing chronic disease, with a special interest in women’s health, fertility and breast cancer. Since these two conditions have touched the lives of loved ones, I have a very personal understanding of the challenges and struggles involved. My individualized approach addresses the specific needs of my patients as I work closely with them to achieve their health goals.
After graduating from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, I was accepted into the competitive Clinical Residency program, which placed me back in the heart of evidence-based medicine and research. My research into adjunctive breast cancer care was selected for presentation at the 2015 CAND – Health Fusion Conference in Calgary, Alberta, which was an exciting experience for me. I have been able to continue my work at the College by lecturing on “Clinical Pathologies of the Breast” and supervising interns in the teaching clinic. I also get to work alongside Jasmine and Ellice at the College teaching acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Prior to moving to Toronto, I graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a High Honours Bachelors of Science in Physiology. I was involved in innovative research in neuroscience, endocrinology and reproduction. I also received highest academic achievement in Physiology from St.Thomas Moore College, University of Saskatchewan. I now focus my problem-solving skills on the complexity of hormonal health in women – a key component in managing women’s health, fertility and breast cancer. I have been described as a dedicated and caring doctor who is committed to the wellbeing of her patients, and I take great pride in this.
Outside the office, you are likely to find me walking outdoors with a book tucked under my arm, listening to a podcast (I’m an addict) and paint splashes on my fingers. I love tinkering in my potted garden and doing crafts – an homage to my country girl roots! I hope that by sharing my light-hearted and caring nature with my patients that it inspires them to create a more balanced, healthy lifestyle for themselves.
Registered Massage Therapist and Certified Shiatsu Therapist
My friends tell me I have a great imagination. When I was little I loved stories. I loved being told them. I loved reading them. The pictures in my mind were rich and abundant. I enjoyed drawing what I saw. I loved making things. In a post-hippie culture I was taught batik, tie-dyeing, making God’s eyes, and carving soap stone. In adolescence I discovered movement through dance. Dance was unconscious imagination, and allowed me to make forms with my whole body instead of with just my hands. It was a larger bridge between what is above and what is below.
More about Lori
As I grew older my attachment to being alive was molded by being responsible for my children’s health, and by witnessing how my parents’ generation managed theirs. Out of those two experiences slowly grew a passion for alternative healthcare, which I eventually decided to work in professionally. Commencing my manual therapy studies with Shiatsu and Traditional Chinese Medicine, perfectly fed my active imagination. The ancient Eastern principles provided me with new stories about existence and the human body, and I soaked those new stories right up. I learned to be alternative within being alternative, and a liberated individualism resulted.
Today I hold a strong non-denominational spiritual view of life. To me, the people we are and the bodies we live in are two different things. Each has a separate intelligence, a separate mission, and a separate language. As a massage therapist, I try to understand what people’s bodies are trying to say, and inform clients about it so that they can work with their body, and not against it.
